INSTALLING NANO-S/ELECTRON CASH
1.1.0 INTRODUCTION

1.1.1 if u’ve already used electron-cash for bch or electrum for btc  and ledger nano-s  for btc or eth then allow yourself an hour to install this wallet interface for BCH on the nano-s.
If you’re totally new to electrum or E/C & N/S  then allow a full-on crypto-weekend to learn the special ropes needed for detecting  1-sats on the nano and testing the receive/ send.

1.1.2 NOTATION

1.1.3  AFTER INTEGRATION

u’ve successfully tested the integrated wallets by sending/ receiving small amounts [can be 360 sats or more]  to and fro between the 2 wallets [default native e/c wallet and wallet-1 = the front-end wallet acting on behalf of n/s.

u are now ready to test out the recovery procedures with and without a passphrase and second password. <<link>>

           <split >   …. “….use wallet to view accounts…”

Historical note: [ this is a left-over from the split that happened on 1st august 2017 since some users may still not have claimed their bch from the btc they had prior to aug 2017 … if applicable, bitcoin cash coins  can be split from the main chain. If u are installing N/S for the first time then your wallet is empty and there will be no bch to claim ]

“settings”x2 “browser support”x2  “no”x2 “browser support”xR “back”x2

<< ElectronCash-3.1.2.exe>>   this version is valid as on 5-feb-2018

1.3.1 check u have the latest version here https://github.com/fyookball/keys-n-hashes/tree/master/sigs-and-sums … [WINDOWS]
download the 7-zip tool http://www.7-zip.org/ ..it has a checksum tool

U will see a screen with the heading “electron cash 3.1.2 default wallet [standard]” version correct as on 5-feb 2018

With your BCH balance on the bottom left

Ask a friend to send u a few dollars into your E/C default wallet so u can test out the interface and the recovery procedures.

1.4.0 INSTALL E/C WALLET-1

Open up again the N/S BCH wallet on chrome by entering the password on the N/S device [1.2.6]

START act#01
<<file>> <<open>>

if wallet-1 does not appear on the list then <<cancel>>  <<file>> <<quit>> and reinstall E/C

if wallet-1 does appear on the list then choose it …<<file>>

<<delete[WINDOWS] = <<close>>[MAC]>>
as u can guess  the “delete” is really a close when considering wallet-1

After the deletion/close u will see  ““…error  wallet removed wallet-1””

[NOTE: if  u delete  the default-wallet by mistake, then u will probably need to use your E/C seed to recover that native wallet]

<<file>> <<new-restore>>
